Why Prepare?

Preparing for both natural disasters or man made emergencies is something that we can and should do. A little preparation now will assist tremendously if either type of emergency should occur.

It is become substantially easier to prepare and react to a natural disaster such as a hurricane or blizzard thanks to advanced weather forecasting techniques. An unexpected terrorist attack is not so simple. However, the preparation of a home supply kit and a family communications plan is the same for both emergency categories.

The decisions that you make to react to a natural disaster or terrorist act will be different, but by preparing now, you will have the tools and plans that will best help you respond to protect you and your family.

"With a little planning and common sense, you can be better prepared for the unexpected"   -Ready.gov

Did you know that ... "In the past quarter century alone there have been more than 100 federally declared disasters in the Northeast, or on an average four major disasters per year." NESEC
